Training

Here at Southern Cross, we strive to provide excellent service to our riders and owners, as well as top-quality care for your horse. We have a staff that is committed to the complete satisfaction of rider and owner.

We will create a program that will fit you and your horse perfectly.

Full Training: $600 per month
Includes up to 5 lessons and/or rides per week. Tuesday-Saturday. Includes warm up/schooling days at shows.

Full Service Grooming: $350 per month.
Includes tack-up and untacking services, daily grooming, wrapping, lunging, hand walking. All supplies IE shampoo, conditioner, showsheen, hoof oil, fly spray etc. Daily tack cleaning. Tack cleaner and conditioner. Laundry service. Laundry soap, and bleach. Pads, wraps, polos, shipping wraps all kept washed, dried, folded and put away. Turn out: Horses are turned out 6 days a week, groomed every day. Clipping of face, ears, bridle path, feet and ankles. Manes kept tidy.

Individual Services, Lessons and Lesson Packages:

• Individual lesson: $65
• 5 lesson package* $275
• 10 lesson package* $450

Daily Grooming for trailer-in riders and horses: $20 per day, per horse.
Includes: Help tacking up and untacking, lunging, hand walking, grooming and bathing.

Grain/ Supplements: $65 per month Includes preparing and feeding grain and owner-provided supplements daily as well as preparing grain/supplements to take to shows.

Shows:

Day fee: $55 per day for rides/schooling on competition days.

Schooling fee: (Applies to non full training clients only) $55 per day for rides/schooling for non-competition days.

Grooming: $60 per day, including set up days.

Deposit: $500 per horse to be received no later than 10 days prior to the day we leave for the show. If you cancel for any reason the $500 deposit will be forfeited and used to pay the groom and groom's hotel that were reserved for your horse and any other expenses incurred.

Sales/Purchases/Leases: Commission: 15%

$100 per day when trainer is required to travel in pursuit of a purchase, lease or sale.
This fee does not apply when trying horses at shows in which the barn is already attending.

Late fees: $50 assessed if payment is received later than the 5th of the month, plus 1.5% of outstanding balance.

$50 charge if Southern Cross has to cover expenses, IE, braiding, show office fees, grooms, farrier, etc.

Rescheduling: Please make any lesson time rescheduling requests by 5:00 pm the day prior to your scheduled lesson. Every effort will be made to accommodate these requests. If you are unable to make your scheduled lesson time please let me know as soon as possible. I am always available by text or cell phone.

Cancellations: please text, email or call me with any cancellations 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time. Horses and riders in full training will not be charges for late cancellations. Horses and riders who are not in full training will forfeit their lesson fee for that lesson.

Please Note: Lesson packages are pre-paid and are to be used within a 90 day period.
